About Mark:
Mark's interior design practice focuses on creating emotional connections with unique spaces. His six years with Ralph Lauren were an immersive education in visual storytelling, honing his ability to translate an imagined lifestyle into practical living. His work is characterized by a sophisticated but approachable aesthetic, with livable spaces that speak directly to a client's personality and lifestyle.
After working as Senior Designer to two prominent California Bay Area interior design firms, Mark launched Mark Newman Design in San Francisco in 2005. From 2005 through 2016, MND developed a reputation as one of the top boutique interior design firms in San Francisco.
A Plano native, Mark moved back to Texas in December of 2016. After working for a time with Morgan Farrow, he has relaunched Mark Newman Design in Dallas.
He has been featured in publications including Traditional Home, California Homes, Period Art & Design, SF Luxe, and the San Francisco Chronicle.
Other highlights include designing for HGTV's Room Crashers, the U.S. State Department G8 Summit in Denver, DIFFA's "Dining by Design," and the 34th annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase.
In his free time, Mark enjoys singing with the Turtle Creek Chorale, reading and collecting books, painting, and exploring the incredible diversity of the Dallas-Ft. Worth arts scene.
